Press release: Official opening of Ydalir Hotel
The Mayor of Stavanger, Christine Sagen Helgø, officially opened Ydalir Hotel together with Anna Margaret Smedvig Wednesday 13th of March 2018.
Ydalir Hotel is a gift to the University of Stavanger and the city of Stavanger from the Smedvig family to celebrate our 100th universary. The hotel is owned by Stiftelsen Ydalir. Stiftelsens’s purpose is to facilitate and contribute to the development of the research environment at the University of Stavanger. Ydalir stiftelsen will also be able to distribute funds from its profit to research projects, professorschips, doctoral scholorships and other activities at Uis.
